The Monarchy adopts a penguin..

So according to what I heard on the radio, and looking up the information online...they have adopted a penguin. A baby penguin.

It was given by the zoo as a wedding gift...It's name is Acorn. It got the most votes the zoo said beating out 400 other species to win. It will still stay at the zoo, its more of a sponsership than anything.

First of all, I didn't know there were more than 400 species of Penguin. plain

Secondly, when you think of the monarchy you would think a lion, tiger, eagle...but a penguin? I'm not saying its bad, its kinda cute, I mean we all kinda want one, but...a penguin for the monarchy? It's not bad...just really funny.

And thirdly, its not a monarch penguin. Why not? I mean give the Monarchy a monarch penguin, it makes sense! Anyway...good for little...Acorn....

Does no one else think this is funny?

Goodbye Freckles

Well we no longer have 3 chickens....we only have 2.

Freckles, the one with the bad leg is no longer with us. The reason it had the bad leg was because of Rickets. It took over yesterday it was just flopping around and had no control over its legs. So it got left outside over night and was probably taken by a hawk due to feathers being everywhere.

I didn't know any of this till I got home from work yesterday...sad...

I got my license today

So today I did the driving portion of my test. I took the written portion months ago. Road signs passed without problem, the rules of the road I failed the first time, and passed the second. Got my driver's permit from that. So when I went today, I was already to go. Got prayer beforehand, and had people praying for me during the time.

I was a little nervous. Got more nervous when I found out I had two people who would be examining me. (One was in training, but I didn't know that till after.)

First thing was the backing in to a tight space parking part....I butchered that. Tried twice and ran over a cone multiple times So that didn't go to well. I kinda messed up on the parallel parking, did better the second time though....[face_worried] [face_sad] I didn't knock over a cone at least...or run any over...

Finally did the backing up, and the quick stop, and the road test. Everything went fine from there. Afterwords though the guy was talking to me on what I did wrong. I thought I failed. But turns out I passed. With an 87. 8 points off for the backing in failure, and 5 points for the parallel parking.

Went inside, and got my license.

Glad it's over.
